ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2020

TO ALL RESIDENTS OF CASTLE CARY AND ANSFORD

We hope you are well and keeping safe in these difficult times.

I am writing to let you know that this year's AGM (to be held at 7.00 pm on Thursday 2nd July) will be a virtual meeting as the Hall will still be closed for your safety.     According to the latest Government guidance 4th July is the earliest date for the Hall to re-open and even then there will be strict guidelines on social distancing, hygiene etc. to avoid any unnecessary risks.    We are disappointed that we will not be able to meet you face to face, but hope you understand that our priority is your safety, and hope you will join us online.    We have been holding virtual committee meetings for the last couple of months and it works well.    We will help you to log on, if you need us to.

The agenda is included as a download link below.    Please note the item re the possible change from our current unincorporated charitable status to a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO).    Making this change could be key in helping us find the replacement Hon. Treasurer and Hon. Secretary that we so desperately need.     We are aware that some potential trustees are worried about trustee liability, particularly at a time that we are planning major building work, and that this may be a stumbling block.  We would like to share our thoughts with you and would urge as many of you as possible to join us.

The maximum number of attendees for the meeting, including the committee, is 24 so we are limited in terms of places.    If you wish to attend please email me as soon as possible as it will be first come, first served.     I will then forward details of how to access the meeting and send the password to you.

Please join us if you can.

Best wishes.
